15 nabbed in Dagupan City drug dens raids

DAGUPAN CITY, Pangasinan – Fifteen persons were arrested here Oct 30 when lawmen raided five houses used as illegal drug dens at SitioAling, Barangay Pantal. 

The raiding tream included personnel of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office 1, PDEA Cordillera, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Dagupan, Dagupan City Police Station and Pangasinan Police Provincial Police Office.

They implemented search warrants issued by Judge Caridad V. Galvez of Regional Trial Court Branch 43, Dagupan city, Pangasinan which led to confiscation of 86 sachets of shabu weighing15 grams and valued at P35,000 including drug paraphernalia and drug money.

House owners Arvin Siapo, Dimas Garcia and Manilyn Santos were arrested as 53 sachets of shabu were found within their household.  Dimas would be charged for maintenance of drug den which is penalized by life imprisonment with a fine of 500,000 to P10 million as provided under Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. 

Six alleged drug users who were arrested namely Mark Carino, Nilo Malasan, Jony Achivida, Cielo Siapo, Nelson Tagulao and RoniePugal were also reportedly caught red handed with illegal drugs in the house of Dimas.

If found guilty the six would be facing jail time not less than 12 years and  would be fined P100 to 500 thousand pesos.

Meanwhile, House owners Jimmy Cayabyab and spouses Mads De Vera and Felizidad De Verra are being hunted law enforcers as they were not around during the raid.

 Five suspects were also detained in the area after they were found hiding sachets of shabu.


Suspected users were named as Johndy Zamora, Rodolfo Ortiz, Jeffrey De Guzman, Roldan Tapang and Macarena Barmaceda.
