BAKUN,
Benguet -- For winning the “clean and green” contest for three successive
years, Ampusongan National High School of Bakun has another reason to celebrate
after the Benguet provincial government province declared this school a hall of
famer in time with the celebration of
Adivay Festival.
Since
2012 ANHS was first place in clean and green contest, which is spearheaded by
the province of Benguet as part of Adivay celebration every November.
“Because
Ampusongan NHS is hall of fame holder, it will not be included in the contest
next year,” said Alfonso C. Doriano, president of National Association of
Public Secondary School Heads, Inc. (NAPSSHI)-Benguet Chapter.
Meanwhile,
ANHS school principal Georgina Ducayso expressed her elation over the award
accorded to her school as she acknowledged the solid support of all the school
stakeholders.
Marcelo
Otinguey, Fidel Aguindang, and Jeana Angluben, who are coordinators of Clean and
Green program in ANHS, are thankful for the help extended by the HedCor, Inc.,
LGU of Bakun, and the active participation of other NGOs.
For this year’s result
of the said contest, ANHS left the second place to Binga National High School
in Itogon, while Lepanto National High School in Mankayan seized the third
place.
