By Eva Visperas

BAYAMBANG, Pangasinan – Officials of the Dept. of Education in the province urged authorities to conduct an immediate and full probe of the murder of a DepEd district supervisor who was gunned down here Wednesday.

Henry Lamsendela Cruz, 46, of Bayambang Central School and a resident of Barangay Taloyan in Malasiqui town, was driving his car on his way to the office when unidentified motorcycle-riding gunmen shot him along Barangay Tambac around 9 a.m., Supt. Gregorio Galsim, town police chief, said.

The victim died while being treated at the Bayambang District Hospital. His companion, who has not been identified, was unhurt.

Three bullet shells for a .45 caliber pistol were recovered at the scene.

The incident occurred less than a week after former Bayambang mayor Leocadio de Vera Jr. was wounded in a gun attack.

The police formed a special task group to probe the killing
