3 dead in North Luzon highway accidents


Three persons were killed in highway accidents in La Union, Cagayan and Isabela last week.
In Sto. Tomas, La Union, a man died and his two companions were seriously injured when their car collided with a passenger bus along the national highway in Barangay Lomboy here Jan. 16.
The driver of the car, Pedro Pablo Sanueta, 65, was pronounced dead on arrival at the La Union Medical Center, said Chief Inspector Artemio Infante, La Union police community relations officer.
Tommy Saldefar and Jun Constantino were brought to the same hospital for treatment. 
Felix Villalobos, driver of the Candon bus, is being held at the Sto. Tomas police station.
Two men also died and another was seriously injured in separate road accidents involving motorcycles in Cagayan and Isabela on Monday.
Raffy Israel, 28, a resident of Barangay Maluyo in Allacapan town in Cagayan, died when his motorcycle collided with a sport utility vehicle in Barangay Lorenzo around 7 a.m., said Chief Inspector Wilhelmino Zaldivar, Lal-lo police chief.
The driver of the SUV, who was injured, was brought to a hospital for treatment.

In Santiago City, Jolas Ramos, 23, died after his motorcycle rammed the wall of a water station in Barangay Patul. The victim was reportedly drunk when the accident occurred. – RaymundCatindig – Jun Elias, Vic Alhambra
