83.5 % Cordi examinees pass school heads test

Mt. Province lands 3rd, 4th -- kicker

BONTOC, Mountain Province – Eighty three percent of Cordillera examinees passed the National Qualifying Examination for School Heads administered nationwide on Oct.  25, 2015 even as 19 from Mountain Province successfully hurdled the NQESH. 

This was learned after the Department of Education and the National Academy of the Philippines released the list of passers for the 2015 NQESH on Jan. 22.

 DepEd Memo no. 11 s. 2016 revealed that of the 615 examinees from Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), 83 or 13.50% were able to make it to the steep cut-off score set by the NEAP which is 162 of 200 items. Of this 19 or 23% are from the province.

Leading the list of Mt. Province passers is Dr. Glynnis K. Ngeteg of Mountain Province General Comprehensive High School, Bontoc, who made it to third rank in the national ranking of NQESH topnotchers.

 She is followed by Nemia Lite from Mountain Province Schools Division Office who landed number four.

 Passing the NQESH is mandatory for all aspirants of Principal I position as stipulated in DepEd Order No.97, s.2011, otherwise known as the Revised Guidelines on the Allocation and Reclassification of School Heads Positions.

The exam covers the eight domains affixed on DepEd Order No.32, s.2010 entitled National Adoption and Implementation of the National Competency-Based Standards for School Heads and Enhanced Basic Education Program; these are School Leadership, Instructional Leadership, Creating Student-Centered Learning Climate, Human Resource Management and Professional Development, Parent Involvement and Community Partnership, School Management and Operations, Personal and Professional Attributes and Interpersonal Effectiveness, and 21st Century Managerial and Leadership Skills.
