BINMALEY, Pangasinan –
The administrator of a sports complex here was killed and three others were
wounded in a gun attack in a cockpit on Monday night.
Clyde Benabese, 55,
who was also former chairman of Barangay Pangapisan Sur in Lingayen town, was
shot in the back by unidentified men wearing jackets and bonnets. He was
pronounced dead on arrival at the Trauma Hospital in Dagupan City.
Stanley Manaois, an
employee of the municipal government; Bert Manuel, a resident of Pangapisan
Sur, and Ben Zabala of Dagupan City, were brought to Region 1 Medical Center
for treatment of their injuries.
Thirteen bullet shells
for a .45 caliber pistol were recovered at the scene.
