Farmer found dead with genitals cut off

BACARRA, Ilocos Norte -- A 58-year-old farmer was found dead with his penis severed here Tuesday.

Ilocos Norte police spokesman, said the death of Prudencio Balicat, a resident of Barangay 34 Cabaruan, was earlier reported to be due to a vehicular accident.

Balicat’s niece Melody Orencio found his body beside his motorcycle along the road near an eatery at around 3:30 a.m.

Municipal health officer Manuel Andres said the body of the victim bore 15 stab wounds.

Police said they are investigating a woman who was seen with the victim before he was found dead. – Raymund Catindig
