6,836 pass nationwide
The
Professional Regulation Commission announced 6,836 out of 14,322 or 47.73
percent passed the November 2016 board licensure examination for nurses given
by the Board of Nursing in testing centers nationwide.
Evangeline Vergara, regional PRC officer in charge
said pursuant to PRC resolution 2004-223 dated July 19, 2004, results of
examinations are final and request for reconsideration of failing grades is not
allowed.
In Baguio, 1,238 of 2,588 examinees (47.84%)
passed the test.
The following are the top performing schools
as per Commission Resolution No. 2010-547 series of 2010 with 50 or more
examinees and with at least 80% passing percentage.
Below are top passing schools with rank,
total number of examinees and passing percentage respectively: Ist, Benguet State University, 62, 100%
passing rate; 2nd, Saint Louis University, 172, 98.84% passed; 3rd, Mariano
Marcos State University, 69, 98.55%.

Registration is ongoing. To enable passers to
save on travel time and expenses, the regional office will process initial
registration outside of Baguio City, as follows: Jan. 13, Urdaneta City;
Pangasinan CB Mall (Events Center), Jan. 14 ; Vigan City, Ilocos Sur Provincial
Capitol Conference Room; Jan.14, Baler, Aurora Municipal Hall; Dingalan, Aurora
Municipal Hall; Feb. 4, Laoag City, Ilocos Norte Provincial Capitol Auditorium;
Feb. 9, Candon City, Ilocos Sur Candon City Hall and Feb. 11, Tarlac City, Tarlac My Metrotown Mall.
The PRC is processing initial registration on
first come, first-served basis; no alphabetical queuing.
Registrants are required to bring the
following: duly accomplished Oath Form (to be distributed during the mobile
outreach); 2017 community tax
certificate; two pieces recent passport-size picture with white background and
spelled out nametag (surname, first name, middle name); and one documentary
stamp and initial registration fee of P1,050 and professional ID cards.
Official reports of ratings and requested
certifications (passing and ratings) will be issued during oath-taking
ceremonies on Feb. 5, 2017 from 1-4 p.m. at Prince Bernhard Hall, Saint Louis
University, Baguio City.
Those who cannot attend the mass oathtaking
ceremonies may join the free mass oath-taking every Thursday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
at the PRC Baguio regional office before the release of their professional ID
card.
