TABUK CITY, Kalinga--
Kalinga Rep. Allen Jesse Mangaoang has allotted P10 million to his
Congressional Scholarship Program for deserving students of the province for
school year 2017-2018.
The fund,
he said, is distributed in colleges and universities in the province including
schools in Cagayan, Nueva Viscaya, Mountain Province and
Baguio City where Kalinga students will enroll.
Kalinga
State University was allotted P4 million for expected high enrollment,
Mangaoang said.
Kalinga
students who enroll in schools in Metro Manila will also given slots
under the scholarship program upon approval of the Commission on Higher
Education,he said.
He advised
applicants to visit the Congressman’s District Office for more information and
details.
In a
related report, Mangaoang reported that his bill creating Malagnat
National High School in Pinukpuk town and Santor National High School in Rizal
municipality first reading at the House.
He said the
bill he filed creating the new barangays of Tabuk City namely Ipil, Bulanao
Norte, Nambaran East and Lacnog West had passed the House third and final
reading and is now transmitted to the Senate. -- PIA Kalinga
