Abra gun- for-hire eludes cops; guns seized

LAGAYAN, Abra – Assorted firearms including an assault rifle, rifle-propelled grenades and a semi-automatic pistol were seized during a raid on an alleged paid killer’s house here early Monday morning.

Abra police and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group personnel raided the house of Billy Pasiguen in Barangay Pang-ot and found an M16 assault rifle, 223 bullets for the rifle, nine M16 magazines, 11 M203 grenade ammunition, Cal.45 pistol and magazine; seven Cal. 45 bullets and two bandoliers for the assault rifle.

 Police did not catch Pasiguen, who is allegedly a member of the Guzman gun-for-hire group tagged in paid assassinations in Abra.

Pasiguen will be hunted down to face illegal gun possession charges and for paid assassinations he and his group were allegedly involved in, police said.

 While police were raiding Pasiguen's house, authorities also raided the house of Dennis Andoy in the same barangay and seized a shotgun and bullets.

 Andoy also evaded the raiding team, though he will still be facing charges at the Abra prosecutor’s office.
