LAMUT, Ifugao --
All campuses of the Ifugao State University (IFSU) in the province
are set to offer free tuition fee to students who wish to finish a
Baccalaureate degree starting this school year 2017-2018 which opens this August.
The IFSU
was allotted P24.286 million from the General Appropriation Act
(GAA) to cover free tuition for the
first and second semesters of school year 2017-2018.
The
no tuition fee policy will apply to all types of students like transferees,
returnees and regular.
Scholarship
grantees, academic or other grants are still covered with the free tuition fee.
Fees from other grants will directly cover the student’s other fees.
Excess of
fees paid will be refunded to the student.
The Ifugao
State University was established by virtue of Republic Act No. 9720
signed by then President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on October 14,
2009. Its vision is “IFSU for Academic Centers of Excellence”.
IFSU, which
is headed by University President Dr. Serafin Ngohayon, has six
campuses in the municipalities of Lamut, Lagawe, Alfonso Lista, Aguinaldo,
