Province – A heated argument among students here at a videoke bat at Poblacion
led to a bloody stabbing and hacking incident which left three seriously
injured on Monday around 6 p.m.
A police report said the
incident happened at Junction, Dagawe,
wherein the victims were identified as Devon Bunong Danggalan, 18, Grade
10 student and Clever Cailin Nafortek, 19, ALS student, while the suspect was
identified as Garry Bayadang Madarang, 15, Grade 9 student.
Investigation disclosed
all had a heated argument but were pacified by their companions.
Madarang left Danggalan
and Nafortek at the bar and went to Junction. Minutes later, the two Danggalan
and Nafortek followed Madarang. Nafortek hit him on his face prompting Madarang
to to stab Nafortek in his right chest and right arm.
Danggalan went near the
suspect and tried to hit him but he was stabbed by Madarang in his back and
left arm. Danggalan ran to unknown direction and returned with a bolo and
hacked Madarang on his buttocks and chest. All were rushed by a concerned
citizen to Paracelis District Hospital but Nafortek and Danggalan were referred
to Southern Isabela General Hospital in Santiago City due to severe injuries.
Madarang was still confined at PDH a press time.
