BOLINAO, Pangasinan —
Five fishermen of this town reported missing since July 18 were rescued on
Monday.
PO3 Antonio Naungayan
identified the rescued victims as Yvin Lopez, 27 years old, Minandro Caasi, 37
years old, Jerick Caasi, 22 years old, Ranillo Campaña, 32 and Bunso Vergara,
44, all married, fishermen and residents of Barangay Concordia Bolinao
Pangasinan.
Bolinao Police said that
the missing fishermen left their houses at around 6 pm of July 18, 2018 and
boarded a motorized banca named ‘FB Danielle Maecee” registered under the name
of Kristian C Camaso, of Barangay Concordia, Boilinao Pangasinan but failed to
returned home.
Naungayan said the
victims’ motor banca capsized at the waters 19’ Nautical miles of Ilocos Sur.
According to Lovemore
Dianne Carranta , head of Bolinao MDRRMO the victims were rescued by local
fishermen of Ilocos Sur.
“Dinala na sa ospital at
ginagamot matapos na sila ay manghina dahil sa pagkababad sa tubig,” Naungayan
told Manila Bulletin.
Their families were
scheduled to go to Ilocos Sur to visit the victims.
