SAGADA, Mountain
Province -- A driver and his passenger were injured when the vehicle they were
in rammed onto a mountainside here around 8 a.m. August 5 along the
Sagada-Balili National Road at Sumaguing, Ambasing.
The ill-fated vehicle, a
Tamaraw-wagon with plate number UHJ-925 was driven by Denver Octubre, 24 of
Barangay Balugan.
Investigation revealed
the vehicle was negotiating a curve headed towards Poblacion when the driver
lost control of the steering wheel causing it to hit the mountainside. As a
result, the driver and his passenger namely David olagetKollalong were rushed
to St. Theodore’s Hospital by a driver of a vehicle who happened to pass by.
Both suffered multiple lacerations and confined at said hospital on
recommendation of Dr. Francis Irol Aspili. The vehicle incurred broken
windshield and smashed front bumper, said PO2 Manuel D Awingan.
