Cagayan Valley PNP chief orders cops under schooling to serve as front liners

CAUAYAN CITY, Isabela -- Police Regional Office 2 Director Brig. Gen. Angelito Casimiro has ordered the deployment of 99 Philippine National Police (PNP) currently undergoing schooling at the Regional Training Center here in Barangay Minante Uno.
Casimiro ordered the personnel undergoing schooling at the Public Safety Senior Leadership Course (PSSLC) and Public Safety Junior Leadership Course (PSJLC) to be deployed in different parts of Cagayan Valley to augment PNP front liners in the ongoing battle against the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
              Out of the 99 PNP personnel, 25 were deployed in Isabela, 25 in Nueva Vizcaya; 25 in Quirino PPO and 24 in Tuguegarao City.
During the send-off ceremony Casimiro said there was a need to augment the strength of the PNP frontliners especially in urban areas to strictly implement the enhanced community quarantine, particularly restrictions on curfew hours and social distancing.
“I would like to remind you all on the precautionary measures you have to undertake while performing your duties and responsibilities in your respective AORs. The PRO2 leadership will support you and take care of your welfare,” said Casimiro.
Casimiro distributed medical supplies and personal protective equipment (PPEs) to the PNP front liners for their safety.
