SAN FERNANDO
CITY, La Union – A councilor of Caba town in this
province, and a 66-year-old woman from this city were reported to have
recovered from the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), according to the Dept.
of Health in Region 1.
Caba councilor
Donna Crispino, 44, was declared clear after getting negative results for
infection of the dreaded virus, first on April 6, then second on April 14.
“Having
gotten my second negative result makes me officially COVID-19 free,” Crispino
said in her social media account.
She also
posted her medical certificate duly signed by their municipal health officer
declaring she was deemed recovered by the DOH.
Crispino had
undergone home quarantine from March 20 to April 14. She was confirmed positive
on March 20.
The other
recovery was a 66-year old female from Barangay Lingsat here, who was
previously admitted at Lorma Medical Center last March 29 and was confirmed as
COVID-19 positive last April 1.
Her first
negative result was on April 9 and her second negative result was on April 10.
She was discharged on April 14 and will follow strict 14-day home quarantine
Meanwhile,
the province recorded another positive COVID-19 case in a 75-year old woman
from Barangay Calumbaya in Bauang town, according to DOH-1 April 15.
The patient,
who had no travel history and was not known to have had any contact with a
COVID-19 patient, felt the onset of the illness on April, and consulted a
doctor the same day.
He lab result
released on April 15 confirmed she was positive for COVID-19.
The patient
is currently admitted at Bethany Hospital and will be transferred to the Ilocos
Training and Regional Medical Center (ITRMC) here.
La Union now
has a total of 15 cases of COVID-19, six recovered, three on strict home
quarantine, two admitted, and four fatalities.
