BOLINAO, Pangasinan – A construction worker died while two others were injured when two motorcycles collided along the highway in Sito Catubig, Barangay Tara in this town on Monday.
Jay-R Suniga, 22, was declared dead on arrival at the Bolinao Community Hospital, where Jesus Emmanuel, 30, and his companion C-Jay Taa, 9, were also taken for treatment.
Initial investigation showed the motorbike driven by Emmanuel rearended Suniga’s motorbike.
Village officials nabbed for quarantine violation

VILLASIS, Pangasinan — A barangay
councilman and a village watchman were among 10 persons nabbed for violating
quarantine rules in this town on April 26.
The violators, who were in an ambulance,
came from Meycauayan, Bulacan and headed for Malasiqui town in this province.
The barangay
officials were identified as Fortunato Macalipas, 42, and Joel Policarpio, 38,
watchman and councilman, respectively.
The violators
failed to present their quarantine passes.
They were
placed under the custody of the Villasis police for proper disposition.
