3 more Covid-19 cases in Baguio

BAGUIO CITY – There are three more cases of (Covid-19) here, the city’s Public Information Office said Thursday morning.
PIO- Baguio chief Aileen Refuerzo reported said new cases were a 15-year old female from Engineer’s Hill village who was a contact of a previous patient; a 65-year old from Barangay Irisan; and a 55-year-old female also from Irisan, the biggest barangay here.
As of late Wednesday, the city had 147 cases.
From this number, 78 were active cases with three deaths.
Refuerzo said Mayor Benjamin Magalong placed Barangays Irisan, Campo Filipino, and San Luis under lockdown.
The barangays earlier placed under lockdown for contact tracing were New Lucban, San Roque Village, Purok I of Pucsusan, Kias, MRR Queen of Peace, Pinsao Pilot, Loakan particularly Sitios Ongasan and Pongian, Salud Mitra, Saint Joseph Village, Cresencia Village, Upper QM, Pinget Sto. Tomas Proper, and San Vicente.
The lockdown at City Hall is expected to be lifted today (Thursday), as well as the PFVR gym, where travel permits are being processed.
               Baguio recorded a surge in cases this week with 14 new cases on Monday and 16 cases on Tuesday. (PNA
