18 Bayombong vendors get Covid; public market shut

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya -- The Bayombong local government has ordered closure of the public market after some vendors tested positive for Covid-19.
    The vendors underwent mass swab testing on Sept. 18.
    Mayor Ralph Lantion said 18 vendors tested positive for the virus on Sept 22.
    He immediately ordered temporary closure of the market be extended for another five days or until Sept. 27.
    A total of 29 vendors here have tested positive for the virus.
    Local authorities ordered strict implementation of health protocols like social distancing, the wearing of face masks and face shields, and frequent handwashing.
