BADO DANGWA, LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Trophies and cash awards were
bestowed upon the winners of the PROCOR “Cordillera Warriors” SWAT
Challenge 2020 today as the Chief PNP visits and graces the closing ceremony
today at the Masigasig grandstand, Camp Maj Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet.
As
the 3-day competition culminated, the Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB 15)
topped other contenders and bagged the overall Champion. Abra Police Provincial
Office (PPO) survived the 1st runner up, followed by the 14th SAB,
SAF-PNP team for the 2nd runner up, and Benguet PPO landed as
the 3rd runner up.
Aside
from the over-all winners, different stage winners were also awarded.
Kalinga PPO won in the Close Quarter Battle (Stage 1); RMFB 15 bagged the
Pistol Course(Stage 2); Rifle Course(Stage 3) was won by Baguio City Police
Office; Abra PPO proudly made it in the Sniping stage and Obstacle
Course(stages 4 & 5); The Night Firing Course (Stage 6) was garnered by the
14th SAB, SAF-PNP; Benguet PPO victoriously earned the award
for the Relay competition; while the Best in Uniform and Equipment was captured
by Kalinga PPO. All awardees received a trophy and cash award from the CPNP.
In
the man to man competition participated by the members of the Command Group,
Directorial Staff, Provincial and City Directors, PCOL Reynaldo DS Pasiwen
bested them all and won bacon while PCOL Allen Co won the CQB competition.
Among
the highlights, two firearms donated and won through draw lots. The first lucky
one who received a Taurus G2s Cal 9MM single stack polymer pistol donated
by the Regional Director was PSSG Tojoro of Abra PPO, while
CARTC’s Team luckily drew a Glock 17 from the CPNP.
In
his message, the Chief PNP stressed that he is a proud cordilleran and went on
to discuss in detail his 9-Point Agenda. He is hopeful that more cordillerans
will follow his footsteps so that more CPNPs will come from this hinterland. “I
expect that more Cordillerans will follow to lead the Philippine National
Police and follow the needs of the organization” he said. (PROCOR RPIO)
