plantation sites worth P11.4 million at Sitio Batangan,Barangay

-- A lady officer led burning of P11.4 million worth of marijuana plants, which
police uprooted and seized from eight plantation sites in the mountainous area
in Kibungan, Benguet recently.
Benguet police director Col. Elmer Ragay said Benguet Provincial Mobile Force Company head Lt. Joyce Gayaden was leading a patrol team when they found eight marijuana plantations in Sitio Batangan,Barangay Tacadang,Kibungan, Benguet on Oct. 15.
Ragay said Gayaden immediately called for back-up team from the Benguet Provincial Office and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency then proceeded to eradicate the illegal plants.
Ragay said, a total of 13,380 pcs of fully grown marijuana plants, 67,600 marijuana seedlings, and 20 kilos of marijuana stalks, amounting to P11.48 million were destroyed and burned site, while 20 kilos of marijuana stalks were brought to regional police office at Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet for ceremonial burning.
No person was arrested during said operation.
