Baguio: 2,546 Covid- 19 cases, 32 deaths

BAGUIO CITY – This tourism resort logged 2,546 confirmed cases, with 620 active cases, and 32 deaths, as of 6 p.m. on Monday but posted 95 recoveries out of a total of 1,894.
    That day marked another high number of new cases with 76.
    Of the new cases, 57 were contact-traced that included 13 elderly persons, and six minors, 17 detected through expanded testing and two symptomatic.
    The City Health Service Office reported more than 4,000 individuals were tested for Covid-19 sponsored by the National Task Force on Emerging Infectious Disease (NTF- EID) Aggressive Community Testing (ACT) program, in coordination with local government units, Bases Conversion Development Authority (BCDA), and John Hay Management Corporation (JHMC). 
    The three-day mass testing was requested by the Regional Inter Agency Task Force –Cordillera n Covid-19.
    On Nov. 5, a total of 761 were swabbed in nearby Itogon town with 95 positives results, 476 in Tuba with 28 positives, and 293 in La Trinidad, all in Benguet with four positive cases, bringing total to 1,530 individuals tested.
    On Nov. 6, a total of 154 were swabbed again in Itogon with five positive results, 276 in Tuba with nine positives, 894 in La Trinidad with 17 positive results, and 46 in Philippine Military Academy with no infection traced, bringing the total to 1,370 individuals tested.
    On Nov.  7, some 1,142 in Baguio City were tested with 19 positive results, 85 from the Bureau of Fire and Penology (BFP) and another 71 at the PMA, both with negative results.
    A total of 4,198 individuals were tested in the aggressive community testing program of the city.
