BONTOC, Mountain Province – The Dept. of Labor and Employment recently released P4,326, 687 million under its Integrated Livelihood Program to three organizations and 150 individuals in the province.
Amaranth Abalos of the DOLE provincial office named recipient organizations as Napua Rural Improvement Club in Sabangan town with 46 members, Rumang-ayan Organization in Barangay Ankileng in Sagada with 35 members and Layad Organization composed of persons with disabilities in Bontoc with 32 members.
For the Napua RIC, P497,192 will be used for their mushroom production project; P488,000 for procurement of water pump for the Sagada organization and P478,868 for the income generating project of the PWD group.
The financial assistance funds were turned over through their respective local government units, which are accredited partner of DOLE in implementing the projects.
The local government unit will be in charge in procurement of needs of the organizations.
Aside from the organizations, DOLE also released a total worth of P2, 862,627 financial assistance to 150 individual beneficiaries in municipalities of Barlig, Natonin, Sabangan and Tadian.
