TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – The Dept. of Social Welfare and Development here said poor families are the priority beneficiaries of the second tranche of the government’s Social Amelioration Program (SAP).
They are the
waitlisted during the first tranche and those identified by their respective
local government units (LGUs) that were under granular lockdown.
ARD for
Operations Lucia Alan bared these saying they were waiting for the list coming
from local government units but to date, no one submitted.
“Our LGUs are
now cautious in choosing would-be beneficiaries,” Allan said citing what
happened during the previous SAP where Dept. of Interior and Local Government
called the attention of some LGUs for irregularities in choosing beneficiaries.
SAP 2
beneficiaries are entitled to 5,100 financial assistance from the department
until Dec. 22.
Brendan
Jansen Tangan, regional information officer said there were around 676,098
