TUGUEGARAO CITY -- The Dept. of Public Works and Highways
in Region 2 said several portions of the Manila North Road here have been
damaged by landslides and mudflow, and rendered impassable to traffic as of
Oct. 25.
Heavy rains brought about by Tropical Storm Quinta caused the landslides and mudflow that closed portions of MNR in Barangay D. Leano in Claveria, the Cadcadir Kabugao road, Junction Logac, Lasam Gagabutan road; and Barangay San Juan in Sta. Praxedes town.

According to DPWH 2
information officer Wilzon Valdez, maintenance crew and equipment were deployed
in these area to undertake clearing operations.
Meanwhile, with heavy
rains experienced in Sta. Praxedes, Claveria and Sanchez Mira in Cagayan, as
well as in Tuguegarao City, residents were told to stay alert for flash floods
and landslides.
