2 dead in Ilocos road mishaps

CANDON CITY -- Two persons died in separate vehicular accidents that occurred in Ilocos Sur on Jan. 9.
Mia Mindaro, 33, died at the scene after she was thrown off a motorcycle and ran over by a truck in Barangay Poblacion in Del Pilar town.
    Reports said the motorcycle driven by Melvin Ngoho, 38, crashed along the road.
    Truck driver Leo Ambanqued, 39, surrendered to authorities after the incident.
    Meanwhile, Nathaniel Nabo was declared dead on arrival in a hospital after his motorcycle collided with a truck in Barangay Barbarit, Magsingal town.
    Truck driver Reymar Quines, 43, surrendered to responding police officers.
