PARACELIS, Mountain Province -- The Paracelis local
government now requires negative reverse
transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT -PCR) test or antigen test results
before being allowed entry in the municipality.
Effective Jan. 9, all residents and individuals coming to Paracelis including locally stranded individuals (LSI) and authorized persons outside residences (APOR) especially those coming from places with active Covid-19 cases should present a negative RT PCR or antigen test result before they can enter the municipality.
Mayor Marcos Ayangwa said the Municipal Inter-Agency Task Force for Covid-19 started implementing a “No RT PCR / antigen test -- no entry to Paracelis” policy to protect civilians considering surging cases of Covid-19 in nearby towns and other areas.
Municipal administrator Christian Van Talawec said a negative RT PCR test result or antigen test should have been taken at least 24 to 72 hours from date of arrival at quarantine control point of the municipality.
Incoming individuals will be placed on mandatory 14-day isolation or home quarantine before they are allowed to go home or report back to work.
Talawec said a negative swab result is mandatory when the APOR or non-APOR stayed in a place with active cases for more than 24 hours.
If the individual travelled or stayed at red areas for not more than 24 hours, there is no need to present swab test result, except when the travel or point of origin is Manila or Baguio City where a negative RT PCR or antigen test result is required.
Talawec added APORs were also required to present company or office IDs and certificate of employment or principal acknowledgement oflabor/service; company or office travel order with health declaration and travel pass of authority.
If staying in an accommodation establishment, they should present hotel and other similar documents.
Non-APORs were also required to present travel authority and health declaration from the place of origin.
Incoming individuals will be placed on mandatory 14-day isolation or home quarantine.
Those who are passing through going to Barlig and Natonin will be checked for their documents and be endorsed to their respective LGUs.
Meanwhile, Barlig mayor Clark Ngaya issued a public advisory on Jan. 13 requiring RT PCR negative results for LSVs from entering the municipality.
The RT PCR test has a three-day validity only.
To date, Paracelis has 11 Covid-19 confirmed cases while Barlig has three with all the patients already recovered from the infection. – PIA Cordillera
