Pangasinan posts high Covid-19 cases after Christmas holidays

DAGUPAN CITY — Pangasinan posted a record-high number of Covid-19 cases and three deaths following the Christmas and New Year holidays.
    Based on the report of the Pangasinan Provincial Information Office, Dagupan City recorded the highest number of 36 cases as well as Alaminos City, Sta Barbara, and Binmaley.
    The oldest patient was an 81-year-old from Alaminos City while the youngest were aged 1, 4, 11, 15, and a five-month-old baby boy from Dagupan City.
    The infant had no symptoms but was confined at the hospital.
    The Covid-19 fatalities were a 60-year-old male from Calasiao, a 77-year-old female from Dagupan City, and a 59-year-old male from Manaoag.
    The city government of Dagupan announced implementation of a liquor ban which took effect 6 p.m. of Jan. 4 through executive order 1 issued by Mayor Brian Lim.
    Lim said serving and consumption of alcoholic beverages in public, including bars, restaurants, and food plazas was prohibited.
