BAGUIO CITY -- With recent Covid-19 positive cases here in
Philippine Military Academy (PMA), the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO)
collaborated with the local government of Baguio to train personnel of PMA in
contact tracing.
Based on report of BCPO, a total of 16 personnel of PMA attended the one-day training on contact tracing which consisted of four modules being used by Covid-19 National Task Force (NTF): Covid 101, retooled contact tracing system, contact tracing analytical tools and cognitive interviewing skill.
Gracing the opening ceremony, Baguio City Mayor Benjamin B Magalong cited participants' for their willingness to learn and support in controlling spread of the virus in PMA and the city.
During the training, BCPO chief Col. Allen Rae Co. bared measures the BCPO didin handling positive cases of Covid-19 which included ocular inspection and strategizing engineering and administrative programs to contain spread of the virus in the workplace.
Magalong and Co. urged the PMA to organize their own contact tracing team.
Participants committed to adapt tools and training they acquired in organizing their team.
With the aid of BCPO contact tracer team to PMA's Covid-19 situation, Capt. Miljun Penaflorida pledged commitment to work with BCPO and Baguio government against Covid-19
