Tublay opens tourist sites to Benguet folks

TUBLAY, Benguet -- The local government here reopened its tourist destinations to residents of the province but subject to health protocols and guidelines on the operations of tourism sites and activities amid the Covid-19 pandemic.    
    Mayor Armando Lauro issued executive order 01 series 2021 establishing guidelines on operation of tourism sites and activities in the municipality from Jan. 7 to Feb. 2.
    The local government considered reopening tourism destinations due to clamor of people and in consideration of need to restore their physical and mental health affected by the pandemic.
    Opened Tourist destinations were Asin Hotspring, Ahonda Caves, Rock Formations and Jungle Adventure and Balete Tree, all in Tuel and Ridge CafĂ© and Polig’s Berry Farm in Barangay Ambassador.
    Visitors were required to present health declaration form and valid ID.
    Tourists have to abide with the prescribed carrying capacity per site at a time namely;    15 persons for Asin Hotspring with 10 persons for the cottage and not  more than 10 persons for Ahonda Caves, Rock Formations and Jungle Adventure and maximum of five persons per tour guide for the Polig’s Berry Farm.
    In all sites, minimum health standards should be strictly adhered to.
     Personnel from the Municipal Police Station, concerned barangay officials and their designated Health and Safety Protocol         Officer were tasked to oversee compliance to health and safety protocols such as wearing of face mask, face shield, observance of social distancing, and availability of hand sanitizers/disinfectants. – PIA Benguet
