BAGUIO CITY – Seven persons were arrested
last January here including three who are listed as high value individuals of
the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
This, as police arrested two drug personalities here in a buy-bust operation at Dizon Subdivision Feb. 8.
City police director Col. Allen Rae F. Co said operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit arrested Marloui Almonte Llanera, 31 and Jimboy Senal Tanay, 28 after they sold two sachets of suspected shabu weighing 10 grams worth P28,000 to cops who posed as buyers.
Inventory of the confiscated items was witnessed by prosecutor Ruth Bernabe, kagawad William Haights, and Dionisio Dennis of DZWT Radio Station.
Meanwhile, arrested Jan. 20 was Jhunnel Lozano, 25, along Marcos Highway, Santo Tomas Proper in a buy bust operation. Confiscated from him was suspected shabu worth P340, 000.
In Jan. 21, Baguio police also arrested a 17 year old boy in a buy bust operation along Quezon Hill barangay.
Found in his possession was 0.5 gram of suspected shabu worth P3, 400.
Police and PDEA Baguio personnel also arrested Rogelio Buccat Jr., 27 and his companion Maria Damalerio in a buy-bust operation on Jan. 24 that led to hot pursuit after the suspects tried to run away with their vehicle.
Confiscated from the two were four grams of suspected shabu worth P27, 200.
The following day, Jerry Rivera, 23 was nabbed at Cresencia Village with two sachets of suspected shabu worth P3, 500.
At the public market on Jan. 29, Josephine Catapang, 47 was caught with 1.5 grams of alleged shabu worth P10, 300.
Joint personnel from Station 2 and PDEA Baguio also arrested John Patrick Peñamante in East Quirino Hill for illegal drugs.
All arrested persons were jailed and charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
