Nueva Ecija — Three drug suspects were reportedly killed in a sting here
in Barangay La Torre on Tuesday night.
Lt. Col. Heryl Bruno identified the fatalities as Danilo Botones, Roland Maniquiz and Leo Angeles.
Bruno said the suspects opened fire when they sensed they had sold shabu to undercover agents.

Truck helper held for shabu

TRINIDAD, Benguet -- A truck helper was arrested during a drug buy-bust
operation March 25 here at Barangay Puguis by local police and Drug Agency
agents.
Col. Reynaldo Pasiwen, Benguet police director identified the suspect as Eugene Nabawel Sacay, 33, resident of the barangay.
Pasiwen said in a report Sacay was arrested after he sold a sachet containing suspected shabu weighing 0.10 grams worth P680 to an operative who acted as buyer in a parking lot. The lawmen seized from the suspect another six sachets of suspected shabu weighing two grams valued at P13,600, cell phone, P3,600 cash and P1,000 buy-bust money.
Inventory of confiscated items was witnessed at the site by prosecutor Andress Gondayao and kagawad Dionisio Cadley of Puguis.
Sacay was jailed at La Trinidad municipal police station for violation of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
