SOLANO, Nueva Vizcaya - Two transport cooperatives in the province recently launched their new transport buses under the national government's public utility vehicle modernization program (PUVMP).
At least 13 additional public utility vehicles (PUVs) have been launched and given provisional authority to operate by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) at the Malabing Valley Multi Purpose Cooperative, Inc. (MVMPCI) compound here in Barangay Bagahabag.
The PUVs are owned by the Belance Transport Cooperative (BTC) and Kasibu Transport Cooperative (KTC) which will ply the Solano - Oyao, Belance, Binuangan via Centro Dupax del Norte and Bambang and Bambang - Solano - Kasibu route respectively.
"This was made possible with the cooperation and support of our transport cooperatives who continue to embrace the PUVMP," LTFRB regional director Edward Cabase said.
He said more PUVs will be launched in Cagayan Valley this year to provide commuters with reliable, convenient, affordable and environmentally-sustainable public transportation system. -- PIA 2 Nueva Vizcaya
