Province – The Dept. of the Interior and Local Government-Cordillera
Administrative Region conferred a certificate of recognition to all 16
barangays of Bontoc for achieving “High functional barangay anti-drug abuse
council (BADAC) for two consecutive years, 2020 and 2021.
All barangays’ “Lupong Tagapamayapa” received certificate of recognition conferred by the DILG-Central Office for their exemplary efforts in maintaining peace and order in the barangays for the year 2021.
Meanwhile, supplies consisting of one set of ink, one box of envelope, one box of bond paper, two logbooks, and one box of pens were given by the Bontoc local government Unit in recognition of their efforts in promoting drug-free, peaceful, and orderly community. B
Mayor Franklin Odsey lauded all punong barangays for their leadership.
“I would like to commend all the barangay officials for supporting our common goal which is to provide a safe and peaceful environment especially for our children,” he added.
The awards were handed over by Municipal Local Government Operations Officer Lourdes Claire Peel and Mayor Odsey after he delivered his last State of the Municipality Address on Feb. 7, 2022, at the municipal auditorium
