By Gaby Keith

BAGUIO CITY: Mayor Benjamin Magalong announced he tested positive for Covid-19 for the second time in nine months.
The mayor said he also contracted the virus in April last year.
But unlike the first time when he developed severe illness, his symptoms this time are very mild.
"My swab test result came out last night. I am positive for Covid-19. My symptoms appeared evening of Jan. 29. I will be in home isolation until Saturday (Feb. 5) . Please take care of yourselves and your families," the mayor said.
While in isolation, the mayor will continue to perform his duties through digital means.
"Let's have a productive week," he told the management committee (Mancom) composed of department heads.
The mayor led the Mancom meeting on Feb. 3 to tackle and map out plans for the various concerns affecting the city.
The mayor said he would continue to perform his duties while isolated.
In April last year, the country’s tracing czar contracted Covid-19 and experienced severe symptoms.
