Nueva Vizcaya town road crash kills two

CORDON, Isabela -- Two persons died in a road accident along the provincial road in Barangay Pieza, Villaverde, Nueva Vizcaya on June 25, police said.
    Nueva Vizcaya provincial police identified the fatalities as motorcycle rider Christopher Gallien, 20, a Grade 10 student from Nagbitin, Villaverde, Nueva Vizcaya, and tricycle passenger Jansen Abedosa, 13, of Pieza village in the same town.
    According to the police, Gallien was on his way to Ibung village when he tried to overtake the car in front.
    He swerved into the left lane but collided with the incoming tricycle driven by Bryan Abedosa, 19.
    Abedosa and his passengers Maui Garzota, 19, and Angela Abedosa, 12, suffered minor injuries and were brought to the Region 2 Trauma and Medical Center for treatment.
    The police said Gallien may have been drunk at the time of the collision. Police investigation is ongoing.
