Trinidad, Benguet -- A 30-year-old member of the New People’s Army personally
surrendered to Cordillera police director Brig. Gen. Ronald Oliver Lee here are
the regional police headquarters on August 1.
The surrenderee voluntarily surrendered after negotiations initiated by police and military officers, barangay officials and his family.
According to the former rebel, he was a former member of Kilusang Larangang Guerilla (KLG) North Abra operating in Abra and Apayao.
He turned over a Cal. 45 pistol with seven bullets to Lee.
The surrenderee who was not identified, is under custody of regional police Intelligence Division for debriefing.
