BAGUIO CITY -- The city government of Baguio started accepting new business permit applications via the online portal ebpls.baguio.gov.ph on July 18, 2022.
Allan Abayao, Supervising Administrative Officer of the city’s Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) said the portal will only accept 12 new applications on a daily basis inclusive of walk-ins.
New business permit applicants should access the portal at ebpls.baguio.gov.ph to register using a valid and active email address; log-out after registration; then log-in again to fill-out the form and attach documents required.
Once documents are submitted to the portal, the applicant shall automatically receive an email notifying him/her on the progress of the application.
The applicant will then be informed of the assessed fees to be paid at the city’s One-Stop-Shop at City Hall or through online payment methods via GCash and Paymaya. Payments may also be through partner banks Landbank or Union Bank.
After payment was verified, the applicant will receive a scanned copy of the business permit for printing through email.
For the renewal of business permits, the online method will be activated by January next year.
Abayao said the launching of the online application system is in compliance to the Ease of Doing Business law and the recent findings of the Anti-Red Tape Act (ARTA) particularly on Electronic Business One-Stop-Shop (eBOSS).
