BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya — A 33-year-old alleged drug trader was arrested after yielding P34,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) during an anti-narcotics operation here Monday.
Joel Plaza, Cagayan Valley director of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, identified the suspect as Jerry Bicera, who was on the local police watchlist.
Plaza said Bicera was caught selling shabu to an undercover agent.
Seized from the suspects were seven sachets of shabu, a mobile phone, drug paraphernalia, and a motorcycle.
Bicera, who was placed in the temporary custody of the Bayombong police, will be charged with possession and sale of illegal drugs under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
