Gens. Cambay, Bazar award 3 Cordillera cops

CAMP DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – Philippine National Police director for comptrollership Maj. Gen. Jesus D. Cambay Jr. awarded three Cordillera PNP officers in this regional police headquarters Feb. 27.
    To recognize their commitment, dedication, and hard work, the three police officers from different units were given medals during the Monday flag raising ceremony at Masigasig grandstand.
    Cambay Jr. was assisted by Cordillera police director Brig. Gen. Mafelino A. Bazar and the PROCor Command Group.
    Medalya ng Kagalingan (merit medal) was given to Lt. Col. Joey Jonathan Bagayao and SSg. Warren Tabbang of Tabuk City Police Station for their efforts that led to  recovery of 241 dried Marijuana bricks and marijuana leaves worth P29,040,000 in Barangay Lacnog, Tabuk City, Kalinga Feb. 23.
    Medalya ng papuri (commendation medal) was given to Pat Jeffrey Witawit of Baguio Pacdal Police Station 3 for apprehending a driver for obstruction, reckless driving, and disobedience of lawful orders of persons in Authority along CM Recto St., Saint Joseph Village, Baguio City on Feb. 10, 2023.
    Earlier, Cambay was greeted with sounds of gongs and cultural dance performed by PROCor cultural dancers.
In his message, Cambay reminisced his more than 20 years of service in PROCor and commended the hard work and sacrifices of personnel.
    He urged them to continue doing outstanding performance service for the community.
    It feels good to be back home where I spent most of my years in service. I am not a perfect police officer, I also had my missteps but more often than that I erased them, I corrected them, I moved on and it made me a better person, not just a better PNP officer,” Cambay said.
