BONTOC, Mountain
Province – The Mountain Province State Polytechnic College (MPSPC) was
recognized as the Philippines’s “Top
performing state college with the highest number of level III accredited
programs in 2022” conferred by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges
& Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP).
MPSPC
president Edgar G. Cue, PhD received the Plaque of Recognition in awarding
ceremony during the 36th AACCUP annual national conference at Century Park
Hotel, Manila on March 29.
Level III accredited programs are Bachelor of Science in Office Administration, Bachelor of Science in Criminology, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and Bachelor of Elementary and Secondary Education in Bontoc and Tadian campuses.
The said accreditation status was granted after an assessment of 10 areas in delivery of programs namely: mission, goals, and objectives; faculty; curriculum and instruction; support to students; research; extension and community involvement; library; physical facilities; laboratories; and administration.
Meanwhile, MPSPC was granted by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) with a hundred percent certificates of program compliance (COPCs) for all its programs being offered.
This evidence compliance of the College with the policies, standards, and guidelines (PSGs) required by CHED in the offering of the programs.
MPSPC is the only public higher education institution in Cordillera to be granted the same with all the 35 graduate and undergraduate programs having their COPCs.
“These recognitions prove our strong commitment to deliver our mandates for a quality and responsive higher education for the communities,” Cue said.
