CAMP DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – Police arrested 58 wanted persons in
the Cordillera while 57 municipalities in the region recorded zero crime
incidents from April 16 to 22.
Based on the records from the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division, Benguet Police Provincial Office recorded highest number of arrests with 22 followed by the Abra PPO with13; Apayao, 10; Baguio City Police Office, 9; Kalinga, 3 and Ifugao PPO with one.
Of those arrested, 10 were most wanted persons, with two listed regional level, five provincial and three municipal.
Meanwhile, due to intensified police visibility and campaign against criminality, 57 municipalities in the region and four police stations in Baguio City recorded zero crime incidents during the week.
Zero crime was recorded in 25 municipalities of Abra, four towns in Apayao, six in Benguet, eight in Ifugao; six in Kalinga and eight municipalities in Mountain Province.
In Baguio, police station of Naguilian, Aurora Hill, Kennon Road and Irisan also recorded zero crime incidents out of 10 police stations in the city.
