Abra PPO tops nationwide PNP units; officers awarded

CAMP DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – The Philippine National Police conferred "institutionalized status” to Abra Police Provincial Office under the leadership of Col. Froilan D. Lopez -- the first Police Provincial Office nationwide to be recipient of the Silver Eagle Award.
    This, after months of hard work and preparation of documents for impact audit and revalidation during institutionalization evaluation process (IEP) as the fourth and final stage of performance governance system (PGS) under the Philippine National Police, the regional police information office said in a report.
    During the event, Abra PPO received certificate and Silver Eagle for garnering overall rating of 90% during the IEP.
    PROCor deputy regional director for administration Brig. Gen. Patrick Joseph Allan administered conferment ceremony with the Command Group here Monday, April 24 at regional police headquarters.
    Five police officers from the Abra PPO behind the successful institutionalization status of Abra PPO were recognized here at the regional police headquarters at the Masigasig Grandstand. Medalya ng Kasanayan (Medal of efficiency) was awarded to Capt. Faith Marcasi, chief of Strategy Review Branch, for being secretariat and impact validator for evaluation process.
    Same award was given to Col. Allan Guyguyon, deputy provincial director for administration of Abra PPO, Lt. Col. Joel K. Dumar, , deputy provincial director for operations of Abra PPO and SSg. Aljeray R. Alagao for  service in preparing requirements of institutionalization evaluation process. 
    Pat. Levy C Santa received the same award for serving as scorecard management PNCO for institutionalization evaluation process of Abra PPO.
    "To Abra PPO, as you made history today, you set yourselves as standard for other units to benchmark. Sustain the remarkable accomplishments you have attained and continue to prove that institutionalized status bestowed upon you is not simply a title but already your way of life," Allan said. 
    Certificates of recognition and plaque of appreciation were given to deserving PROCor personnel and Abra PPO “provincial advisory group for police transformation and development (PAGPTD)” in recognition their “outstanding performance and stellar accomplishments resulting in the effective execution of the PGS institutionalized status with the Silver Eagle award.” 
    “The Silver Eagle Award was conferred upon the Abra PPO for their outstanding commitment and unwavering support in the effective implementation of the PNP patrol plan 2030 for attainment of a highly capable, effective, and credible police service as validated in their institutionalization evaluation process,” the regional press information office said.
