P21.8-M illegal drugs confiscated in Cordi; 2 nabbed in operations

CAMP DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – Police confiscated over P21.8 million worth of illegal drugs and arrested two drug personalities from April 30 to May 6.
    Records of Regional Operations Division said total of 12, 980 fully-grown marijuana Plants (FGMJP), 120,000 grams of Marijuana Stalks, 1,060 pieces of marijuana seedlings and 40,002 grams of dried marijuana leaves and fruiting tops with worth P21, 838, 640 were confiscated in Benguet.
    The report bared 1.49 grams of shabu valued at P10,132 were confiscated from two drug personalities arrested in buy-bust operations in Baguio City.
    The arrested suspects, identified as Edison Caras, 29, and Emelyn Tabisola, 40, are now facing charges for violating the provisions of Republic Act. 9165, or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, while the confiscated marijuana plants and seedlings were burned at discovery sites by police.
