TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – Police have launched a manhunt for a car theft suspect who bolted the detention facility of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology here Wednesday.
The escape of Jovell Villarosa resulted in the immediate relief of Jail Senior Insp. Erick Lazaro, city warden.
BJMP regional director Michael Vidamo replaced Villarosa with Jail Senior Insp. Aldrin Goma.
Villarosa escaped by destroying the padlock of his cell. He is facing charges of car theft with double frustrated homicide. – Charlie Lagasca
