Police nab 6 wanted persons in Cordillera

CAMP BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet -- Police nabbed six wanted persons in the Cordillera last week as result the police’s “Implan Tugis.”

In Paracelis, Mountain Province, joint element of regional and town police headed by Insp. Crispin S. Calunnag arrested Romulo Enriques Castro Aka Mulong, farmer and a resident of Barangay Palitud on April 25 by virtue of an arrest warrant issued by Judge Bernabe B. Mendoza of Regional Trial Court, 2nd Judicial Region, Branch 23 of Roxas Isabela for homicide with recommended bail bond of P40, 000.

In Mankayan, Benguet, town police nabbed Joseph Gayudan y Bayangan, 42, married, minerof Pasil, Kalinga and a resident of Marivic, Mankayan on April 26 for “high grading” (illegal ore trading.)

Suspect was arrested at his residence by virtue of an arrest warrant issued by Judge Amparo Malinias Espada with a recommended bail bond of P6,000. Espada posted bond for his temporary liberty.

In the same day, Rafael Mendoza y Patican, 64, married, farmer, native and resident of Tabio, Mankayan, was also arrested by the same operatives at his residence by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Espada for violation of Presidential Decree 1866 with a recommended bail bond of PP60, 000. Mendoza paid bail money and was released.

In La Trinidad, Benguet, police arrested April 27 a porter at Trading Post, Km 5, Barangay Pico identified as Bonifacio Orenia y Pulac aka “Kim,” 7, single of Karonotan, Dupax, del Sur and now residing at Tili, Shilan, La Trinidad.

Judge Marybelle Demot Marinas, of RTC-8, La Trinidad issued an arrest warrant for robbery with violence against Orenia with recommended bail bond of P100,000.

On the same day in Tublay, Benguet, police arrested Nicasio Melecio y Pucay, 45, widow, farmer and a resident of Barangay Basil, Tublay following an arrest warrant issued by Judge Cleto R Villacorta III, RTC-8, Baguio City for robbery with recommended bail bond of P100,000.

In Lagangilang, Abra, on the same day, town police led by Insp. Reynaldo Ninalga Buan arrested a security guard identified as Reymundo Trongco Jr y Bides, 26, resident of Barangay Dalaguisen.

Suspect was arrested at Dalaguisen by virtue of an arrest warrant issued by Corpus B. Alzate, presiding judge of RTC Branch 2, Bangued, Abra for violation of RA 7610 with no bail recommended.
