TABUK CITY, Kalinga — Kalinga
Schools Division Superintendent Norma Brillantes urged provincial folks to participate in the Search for Happiest Pinoy
2012.
To promote the "Wear a smile
campaign," contenders are judged based on a constantly cheerful face and
optimistic outlook; proven ability to rise above life’s challenges; and
positive impact in the lives of others.
Based on DepEd memorandum No. 85,
series 2012 the contest, she said the contest is open to any Filipino of legal age,
good moral character, and residing in the Philippines.
Nominations will be accepted until
July 15, 2012.
At stake is P250,000 for the winner,
including a trophy.
"The contest aims to encourage
everyone to be happy and optimistic amid the global economic downturn,"
she said and as she also encouraged that all teachers to wear a smile in
school.
