Cops arrest wanted criminals in Cordillera



La Trinidad, Benguet - Cordillera police arrested nine murder suspects  in the region last week.

Since Nov. 4, four other suspects wanted for frustrated murder, rape and other crimes in Abra, Benguet and Mountain Province were also nabbed.

Cordillera police director Chief Supt. Benjamin Magalong said policemen arrested suspects Hermes Midlang Zapata, 33; Isidro Banayos Buyao, 38; Josue Baula Zapata, 40; PepitoTiglac Cammagay, 43; Bobby Benwagen Cabrera, 30; and Jun Benwagen Cabrera, 34; all from Tineg town in Abra.

The suspects are facing murder charges.

Arson suspect Antero Olingan Simangen, 37; and frustrated murder and arson suspect Tony Baula Zapata, 57, were also arrested on Monday.

The intervention of Tineg town Mayor Edwin Crisologo helped in the arrest of the suspects.

Meanwhile, robbery and theft suspect Franklin Gacilan, 45, was nabbed by Tayum town, Abra police.
