Cordillera schools top criminology board exam

BAGUIO CITY -- The University of the Cordilleras (UC)and the Ifugao State University (IFSU)  are the  top performing schools in the October 2013 Criminology Board examination  in examinee passing rate, based on results  released by the Professional Regulation Commission.

UC ranked number one with 98.39 percent as 61 out of its 62 examinees passed while IFSU got the second spot with 95 percent as 76 with  80 examinees hurdling said board exam.

The University of Baguio also landed in the top ten  taking  the sixth spot at 81.82 percent passing rate with 54 of its  66 examinees passing the test.

For individual honors, Abbas Saripada Macadatar of University of Baguio got the top 2 spot with a rating of 90.15 percent, second only to the 90.30 rating of Ronald Bautista Moldero from University of Cagayan Valley,  who also took the board exam  in Baguio City.

Mark Asiong Madalang Jr, of UC also landed at top 8 with an 89.10 rating.

Nationwide, 11,217 or 45.27 percent out of the 24,779 examinees passed the licensure examination.

For those who took the exam under the PRC Baguio Regional Office,  2,371 or 58.83 percent of the 4,030 examinees successfully hurdled the test.

PRC Baguio regional office director Teofilo Gaius Sison Jr., in expressing his congratulations to the criminology board passers, also encourage them to have their initial registration on the mobile processing that PRC-Baguio  has  scheduled.

Aside from having to avoid the long queue at the regional office as passers of the recent Licensure Examination for Teacher and Midwife are also having their initial registration, they can also save time and money of going up   to Baguio.

On Dec. 9, PRC-Baguio will  conduct mobile servicing  at  the City Hall Auditorium in  Laoag City, Ilocos Norte; NEUST Main Campus in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija; and the University of Pangasinan in Dagupan City.

On Dec. 12, mobile servicing will be at the City Hall of Candon City, Ilocos Sur.

Sison also disclosed successful examinees must personally register and sign the ‘Roster of Registered Professionals, and should bring a duly accomplished oath form (Panunumpang Propesyonal), a 2013 Community Tax Certificate (Cedula), two pieces of passport size picture with white background and complete name tag, one documentary stamp and an initial registration fee of P600 plus an annual registration fee (for three year – 2013 to 2016) of P450.
