SOLANO, Nueva Vizcaya – A driver died while27 passengers
were injured when their bus skidded and fell into a rice field here Tuesday.
Chief Insp. Billy Mangali, Solano police chief, said it
took almost an hour before they removed Michael Angelo Santos, 40, who was
pinned to his seat.
Santos died on the way to the PLT Hospital in Bascaran,
where the injured victims were also taken for treatment.
The GV Florida bus (POM-184) was on its way to Maddela
town in Quirino when it skidded because of the slippery road due to the rain in
Barangay Bascaran at around 4:30 a.m. – Raymund
